Each year, the University Program Council, or UPC, and Hillel at Auburn help the Auburn family ring in the holidays with their Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Samford Lawn.

 Come and celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with the lighting of the Christmas tree and menorah. The holidays mark a time when the whole Auburn family can join together and be merry. This program embodies this by bringing festive cheer to Auburn’s campus and celebrating the variety of traditions amongst Auburn students, families, and the surrounding community.

 This year’s ceremony will take place from 4:30-6:00 p.m. on November 29th. Join UPC and Hillel in kicking off the holidays with musical performances, family-friendly crafts, desserts, refreshments, and holiday cheer.

 From 4:30-5:00 p.m., families can enjoy refreshments and a few holiday activities. The program, celebrating the holiday season and consisting of musical performances and remarks from special guests, will begin at 5:00 pm and last until approximately 5:30 pm, when the tree and menorah will be lit.

 After the tree and menorah are lit, all are welcome to stay for pictures and enjoy the holiday spirit on Samford Lawn.

From the North Pole to Toomer’s Corner, Santa on the Corner returns! Santa will be at Toomer’s Corner for TWO days. On Saturday, Dec. 5th from 10-2 and on Sunday, Dec. 6th from 11-1:30. Photos with Santa are complimentary and donations to United Way of Lee County are appriciated.

Join us for your favorite holiday tradition, The Auburn Christmas Parade. The parade will be held in Downtown Auburn on Sunday, Dec. 6th at 2 pm. All businesses and organizations are invited to participate in the parade.
